Part 1


This picture shows a hinge / joint from the door of a cupboard.



This picture shows the wheel and axle of a fan.



The next picture shows the linkages of a foldable chair.



The last picture shows the gears inside a correction tape.


Part 2



This is one problem I have found in my house. The main door of my house has no door stopper. Whenever we open the door, the handle of the door always collides with and scratches against the white wall of the house. I will suggest that that the hinges of the door have a slow moving rack and pinion to cushion and slow the door down. This mechanism will prevent the door from smashing against the wall. Something like the image below.
